Ban on Conflicting Securitization Deals

Rule 192 prohibits an underwriter, placement agent, initial purchaser, or sponsor of an asset-backed security (including a synthetic asset-backed security), or certain affiliates or subsidiaries, from engaging in transactions that would involve or result in certain material conflicts of interest with an investor. The prohibition applies for a specified period of time and is subject to certain exceptions.
