Exclusive NIH License for HPV‑16 T‑cell Therapy

If you are a patient with an HPV‑16 E6–positive cervical, head and neck (including oropharyngeal), or anogenital cancer and you express HLA‑A*02, the National Cancer Institute is contemplating granting MedGene Therapeutics an exclusive, royalty-bearing patent license to develop and commercialize ex vivo engineered T‑cell therapies (autologous or allogeneic) that use T‑cell receptors reactive to the HPV‑16 E6 oncoprotein. The contemplated exclusive territory may include the United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, and written comments or license applications must be received by the NCI Technology Transfer Center on or before September 30, 2026 (notice published September 15, 2026).
