Analyzed Economic Effects
6 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 4 costs, 2 mixed.
Final Dumping Margins Established
Commerce found dumping margins for sodium nitrite from India covering the period February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. Deepak Nitrite Limited (DNL) has a dumping margin of 0.00 percent, while Kronox Lab Sciences Pvt Ltd and Kutch Chemical Industries Ltd each have margins of 42.76 percent; these final results are applicable September 16, 2026.
Cash Deposit Rates Effective Publication
For shipments entered or withdrawn for consumption on or after the publication date (September 16, 2026), cash deposit requirements apply: exporters/producers covered in this review will have cash deposit rates equal to the weighted-average dumping margins from these final results, and the cash deposit rate for all other producers and exporters remains 42.76 percent.
Assessment and Liquidation Timeline
Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to assess antidumping duties on appropriate entries covered by this review and intends to issue assessment instructions no earlier than 35 days after the notice publication (September 16, 2026). If a timely summons is filed at the U.S. Court of International Trade, CBP will be directed not to liquidate relevant entries until the period for a statutory injunction has expired (within 90 days of publication).
Automatic Assessment for Unknown-U.S.-Destined Sales
Commerce will apply its automatic-assessment practice to entries of subject merchandise produced by DNL for which DNL did not know the merchandise was destined for the United States; such entries will be liquidated at the all-others rate of 42.76 percent if there is no rate for the intermediate company involved.
Importer Reimbursement Certificate Reminder
Importers must file a certificate about reimbursement of antidumping and/or countervailing duties prior to liquidation of relevant entries during this review period, as required by 19 CFR 351.402(f)(2). If you fail to file the certificate, Commerce may presume reimbursement and assess double antidumping duties or increase antidumping duties by the amount of countervailing duties.
Rescission for Three Companies
Commerce is rescinding this administrative review in part for Buradon Inc., Palvi Industries Limited, and Lotus Global Pvt. Ltd. because the record shows no evidence of suspended entries during the period February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025; antidumping duties for entries by these companies will be assessed at the cash deposit rate required at time of entry.
