If you operate a recreational or commercial vessel on the Mystic River, the Route 1 (U.S. 1) drawbridge at mile 2.8 would open on signal year‑round by removing the current November 1 through April 30 six‑hour notice requirement. The draw still would open hourly when needed from 7:40 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. at twenty minutes to the hour, and CTDOT will provide bridge attendants continuously to support the change.
