FEMA finalizes new flood maps
FEMA finalized new or modified Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries, zone designations, and/or regulatory floodways for the listed communities. Each Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) was finalized on the dates shown in the table (examples range from May 11, 2026 through July 24, 2026).
Maps determine local building rules
The new or modified flood hazard information is the basis for the floodplain management measures that a community is required to adopt or show are already in effect to remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) under 44 CFR 60.3.
Use updated community number for policies
The current effective community number shown in the LOMR must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals.
Maps available for public review
Each finalized LOMR is available for inspection at the community map repository address listed in the table and online through the FEMA Map Service Center at https://msc.fema.gov; interested lessees and owners of real property are encouraged to review the final flood hazard information.
