Money Market Funds Keep Filing Monthly Portfolio Reports for SEC

Published Date: 10/16/2026

Notice

Summary

Money market funds must keep filing their monthly reports on Form N-MFP, showing what they hold in their portfolios. The SEC is asking to extend this rule, so funds keep sharing info by the 5th business day each month using an electronic system. This keeps investors in the know and helps the SEC keep things running smoothly without extra costs or delays.
