Unused NJ TRANSIT Land Becomes Stormwater Pump Site
NJ TRANSIT intends to transfer a 2.17-acre portion of a 9.27-acre parcel at 510 Pacific Avenue in Jersey City to the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority so JCMUA can build a stormwater pump station to help alleviate flooding in parts of Jersey City. Any Federal agency must notify the FTA of interest by November 27, 2026; if no Federal agency claims it, FTA will approve the transfer. FTA’s rules require the asset remain in public use for at least five (5) years after transfer and FTA has determined other statutory conditions have been met.
