Cboe C2 Adds Detailed Options Reports With New Fees

Published Date: 11/6/2026

Notice

Summary

Cboe C2 Exchange is rolling out a new Trade-by-Trade report for its options trading, giving traders detailed info on each trade. Along with this, they’re updating their fee schedule to include charges for accessing this report. These changes kicked in right after filing on October 27, 2026, so traders should be ready for new fees and fresh data insights.

Analyzed Economic Effects

6 provisions identified: 4 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Subscription and Ad Hoc Fees Introduced

If you want access to the TBT Report on a continuing basis, a subscription costs $5,000 per month. If you prefer one‑off requests, the Exchange charges $3,000 per month of historical TBT data for ad hoc requests.

New Trade‑by‑Trade Report (T+1)

If you trade or analyze options on Cboe C2, the Exchange is offering a new Trade‑by‑Trade Report (TBT Report) that lists each executed options trade as a separate row and includes time, underlying symbol, OSI details (root, expiry, strike, call/put), trade size, price, market context indicators (e.g., National Best Bid/National Best Offer, C2 best bid/offer), side (buy/sell), transaction type (open/close), and origin (capacity). The report is produced end‑of‑day and made available overnight after midnight Eastern Time (T+1).

TPH Execution IDs Included for Subscribers

If you are a Trading Permit Holder (TPH) and subscribe to the TBT Report, the report will include that TPH's execution IDs for both Simple Book and Complex Order Book trades, which helps with linkage and reconstruction of that TPH's trading activity.

Ad Hoc Historical Data Back to March 1, 2019

You may request ad hoc historical TBT Report data for any number of months for which the data is available, beginning with March 1, 2019; the ad hoc fee is $3,000 per month of data and mid‑month or specific‑date requests will be prorated.

Free July 2022 Sample Available

The Exchange will provide a free sample of End‑of‑Day Trade‑by‑Trade Historical Data for the period July 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022 to Trading Permit Holders (TPHs) and non‑TPHs who have not previously purchased the TBT Report or received a free sample. The free sample is intended to let potential subscribers evaluate the data before paying for it.

Report Is Historical Only (Not Intraday)

The TBT Report is produced and updated at the end of each trading day and is available T+1 (overnight after midnight Eastern Time), and the Exchange states the data is strictly historical and cannot be used to influence intraday trading decisions.
