End U.S. hostilities with Iran

If both chambers adopt the resolution, it would direct the President to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran under the War Powers Resolution. The removal would not apply if Congress passes a declaration of war or a specific authorization for use of military force against Iran. The resolution would not stop the United States from defending itself, its forces, diplomatic facilities, or allied states from imminent attack. It would let the U.S. keep defensive troops in the region and would not force out forces that are not engaged in hostilities. The resolution would also protect intelligence collection, analysis, and sharing with partners when the President determines it is in U.S. national security interests. The resolution would not itself authorize the use of military force.
