New ZIP codes for 80 communities

This bill would require the United States Postal Service to assign a single, unique ZIP Code to each of 80 named communities. The Postal Service would finish all designations not later than one year after enactment. Residents, businesses, and institutions in those places would see mailing addresses and service boundaries change. Those households and firms would need to update addresses with banks, bills, and vendors, and services or prices tied to ZIP Codes (like deliveries or insurance) could change. The section would not provide new funding or create penalties.
