Electronic verification for Medicaid NET and ABA

This bill would require States to use an electronic verification system for Medicaid non-emergency transportation (NET) and applied behavior analysis (ABA) services furnished under a State plan or waiver on or after January 1, 2027. The system would have to verify the same six service elements used by current electronic visit verification rules. States that already require an electronic verification system for those services as of enactment could keep using their system. If the Secretary finds a State noncompliant, the State would have 90 days to send a corrective action plan and one year to come into compliance after notice.
