Ranchers get more grazing options
The Forest Service would make a plan to use livestock grazing to lower wildfire risk. It would work with current federal grazing permit holders. The plan would finish required environmental reviews so ranchers could use vacant allotments when droughts, wildfires, or other disasters block their usual areas. It would expand targeted grazing and speed temporary permits to cut fuels and invasive grasses. It would also use grazing after fires where it fits, all under current law, and would start upon enactment.
