No new wilderness rules at Big Cypress

The bill would bar Big Cypress National Preserve from being named wilderness or added to the National Wilderness Preservation System. Federal land managers would not be able to apply Wilderness Act rules there. This would have no end date. People and businesses near the preserve could see fewer land-use limits. Conservation groups would lose a path to stronger legal protections. It would take effect upon enactment.
