Bigger GI Bill book stipend for veterans
This bill would raise the Post-9/11 GI Bill book and supplies stipend from $1,000 to $1,400. Starting in fiscal year 2026, the VA would increase that amount each year by the CPI-U change for the 12 months ending June 30. Each yearly increase would be rounded to the nearest dollar. This would apply to eligible Post-9/11 GI Bill students using the stipend for books, supplies, and equipment.
