Raise teacher credentialing and mentoring in Early Head Start. If enacted, Early Head Start centers would need at least one credentialed teacher in each classroom. Any other teacher in the room would need to work toward a Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher and complete early childhood training or similar coursework. While they work toward it, the agency would have to provide a mentor to guide and check progress. These rules would start upon enactment.
