Summary

Grants lawful permanent resident status to Luisa Mariana Sifuentes Arbirio by waiving certain grounds for removal and admission. Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Green card relief for Luisa Mariana Sifuentes Arbirio

If enacted, this bill would let Luisa Mariana Sifuentes Arbirio apply for an immigrant visa or a green card. She would need to file the right application and pay fees within 2 years after enactment. If she entered the U.S. before that deadline, she would be treated as having entered and remained lawfully as of enactment. DHS would have to cancel any removal or inadmissibility orders based on grounds recorded on enactment. She could not be removed, denied admission, or found ineligible for a green card for those recorded grounds.

No automatic benefits for her relatives

If enacted, her natural parents, brothers, and sisters would not get immigration rights or status just for being related to her.

One fewer visa for her birth country

If she is granted a visa or a green card, the State Department would cut her birth country’s visa total by one. The cut would apply in the current or next fiscal year.
