Federal land swap with Chugach Alaska
If enacted, this would direct the Interior Secretary to trade about 65,374 acres of Federal land in the Chugach Region to Chugach Alaska. If Chugach offers to convey all of its listed non‑Federal land interests, the Secretary would need to finish the exchange within one year after enactment. The transfer would keep valid third‑party rights and would reserve public easements required by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. Land given to Chugach would be treated like Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act land when conveyed. The government and Chugach would be able to fix small map or acreage errors by agreement.
