Higher oil storage cutoffs for farms
If enacted, oil storage cutoffs that trigger spill-prevention plans for farms and small businesses would rise. The top cutoff would move to 42,000 gallons. 10,000 gallons or less would be a low-capacity tier; more than 10,000 but less than 42,000 would be a middle tier. Two other cutoffs would also rise: 1,000 to 1,320 gallons and 2,500 to 3,000 gallons. Facilities near these amounts could face fewer planning steps under the new tiers.
Would remove parts of spill plan rules
If enacted, one item in the list that defines who the spill rules cover would be removed, and the list would stop at paragraph (3). The bill would also delete subsection (d). If your duties or exemptions rely on those parts, your obligations could change. You would need to recheck which SPCC rules apply.
