Summary
Designates September 17, 2026 as a one-day nationwide fee-free date for federally managed recreation sites. The bill would waive entrance fees at National Park Service sites that charge them and would waive standard amenity recreation fees on that date at sites run by the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Forest Service that charge those fees. The waiver uses the fee definitions in the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act and applies only to sites charging the fees on that date.
