Summary

Requires standardized data collection and reporting for opioid-use disorder grants to improve oversight and clarity. The bill would tighten what states and subrecipients must report about how grant money is used and who receives it.

Show full summary
  • States receiving grants would have to report quarterly the purposes of funds, activities carried out, and the number of individuals served. These reports must use a standardized system the Secretary would develop.
  • Every entity that gets a grant or a subaward must be identified. Reports must include the name, location, taxpayer identification number, and the funding level provided to each recipient or subrecipient.
  • The Secretary would be required to build the data system and, where feasible, use existing federal grant-tracking systems to avoid duplicate reporting.
  • The reporting and identification rules would apply starting 180 days after enactment.
