This bill would make it a federal crime to knowingly use artificial intelligence to impersonate, falsely assume, or pretend to be a United States officer or employee by mimicking their voice, likeness, or other identifying traits and producing materially false or misleading content.

New penalties for AI federal impersonation
This bill would make it a crime to use AI to pretend to be a U.S. federal officer or employee. It would apply only if someone acts knowingly and the content is materially false or misleading.
