State Dept Office for Sports Diplomacy

This bill would rename the State Department's sports diplomacy division the Office of Sports Diplomacy within 90 days of enactment. The Office would write five-year sports diplomacy strategies, send the first plan to Congress within 120 days, and post it online within 180 days. The Secretary would add at least three full-time staff to the Office within 180 days and keep them through December 31, 2034. The strategies would include plans to speed and secure visa processing for athletes, broadcasters, support staff, and other eligible international visitors. The Department would provide implementation updates every 180 days and annual reports to Congress through December 31, 2034.
