Sponsored By: Representative Mann, Tracey [R-KS-1]
Passed House
Summary
Clarifies the airspace where recreational drones may operate. This law amends 49 U.S.C. 44809(c)(2)(C) to explicitly include Class E airspace above Class G and Class E airspace designated as extensions to the surface areas of Class B, Class C, Class D, or Class E, so limited recreational drone operations are recognized in those specific airspace areas.
