Summary

Annual transparency for federal property holdings. This bill would require the Administrator of the General Services Administration to deliver a detailed report by January 31 each year to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works covering the prior calendar year. The report must list leases signed and ended, total leased spaces and buildings owned, square footage leased, occupied and vacant, top customers by square feet and annual rent, completed construction and major repairs, financial indicators like space use and operating cost per square foot and deferred maintenance liabilities, which buildings GSA disposed of, and GSA and tenant agency plans for relocating agencies from disposed or non-renewed space including how relocations will be paid and whether the tenant requested them.
