Extend Fort Peck water authorization
If enacted, the bill would extend authorization for the Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System through 2028. It would replace the year "2026" with "2028" in Section 9 subsections (a)(1) and (b). That Section is part of Public Law 106-382. The change would take effect upon enactment. It would not itself provide new money. Tribal government, residents, and local businesses on the Fort Peck Reservation would remain eligible for federal actions or funding under the program while it is authorized.
