More heart screenings for low-income women

If enacted, low-income women and women already served by breast and cervical cancer screening grants would be able to get extra heart-health screenings. The CDC would be allowed to give supplemental grants to section 1501 grantees to pay for blood pressure and cholesterol checks, health education, referrals, follow-up care, and program evaluation. Services would be provided by the section 1501 screening groups or by groups the grantee names and the Secretary approves. The bill would authorize $250 million for fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to fund these grants.
