More pet emergency funding for governments

If enacted, this bill would let State, local, and tribal governments use Section 662 grants to prepare for companion animals in disasters. The federal share would be 90% for listed pet-preparedness activities and 50% for other grant activities. Allowed pet items and services would include collapsible crates, mobile animal trailers, pet supplies, veterinary and animal health supplies, sheltering equipment, generators, disaster response software, training, animal response teams, and rescue gear. The 90% share would only apply to activities done by State, local, or tribal governments using Section 662 grant funds.
