Ban on dual acting federal roles
If enacted, this bill would bar certain top officials from holding two federal jobs at the same time. It would prohibit the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, the Director of the Office of Government Ethics, the Special Counsel, the Archivist, any Level I Executive Schedule official, and any civil servant temporarily acting in those offices from occupying or performing the duties of any other Federal Government position. It would also stop the President from directing someone already serving in one acting role under 5 U.S.C. 3345(a)(2) or (a)(3) to take on a second acting role. The prohibition would take effect upon enactment.
