Career-Connected Learning Pathways Act of 2026

Searchable state directory for career training

This bill would require an eligible State agency that chooses to carry out the activities in section 124(b)(12) to create, publish, and maintain a public, searchable statewide directory of career and technical education programs and career pathways. For each program or pathway, the directory would list the name and description; the school district or political subdivision where it is offered; the industry or career cluster it prepares students for; each sequence of courses; any dual or concurrent enrollment credit or recognized postsecondary credential available upon completion; affiliated postsecondary institutions, local workforce development boards, or industry/sector partnerships; any work-based learning opportunities; and evidence of alignment with current or projected labor market needs. The directory would be searchable by school district or political subdivision, by industry or career cluster, and by credential available upon completion. The data would have to use standard, open, linked, and interoperable formats and be updated at least once each program year.
