Grants for AI grid testbeds
If enacted, CISA and the Department of Homeland Security would set up a grant program within 180 days. The program would give awards in each fiscal year 2026 through 2030. It would authorize $100 million total to fund grants. Colleges, community colleges, Hispanic-serving institutions, National Laboratories, or consortia of these groups would be eligible. The agency directors would also send reports to Congress starting one year after enactment and annually through 2031 about threats, AI mitigation progress, and recommendations.
