Tighter Medicaid personal care rules
This bill would require that to get Medicaid personal care services you must be unable to do 3 or more activities of daily living, as defined in IRC 7702B(c)(2)(B). The rule would apply to medical assistance furnished on or after January 12, 2027. If you now qualify with fewer than 3 ADL limits, you would no longer qualify for those personal care services.
