Higher Medicaid personal needs allowance
If enacted, this would raise the monthly personal needs allowance (PNA) for Medicaid beneficiaries in institutions. An institutionalized individual would receive $60 per month starting January 1, 2026. An institutionalized couple would receive $120 per month starting January 1, 2026. If Social Security Title II benefits are increased by a percentage effective with a month after November 2026, these PNA amounts would increase by that same percentage.
