Strengthening and Improving Mobilization Act of 2026
Sponsored By: Representative Green, Al [D-TX-9]
Introduced
Summary
Regular tabletop exercises for Defense Production Act planning would be required. This bill would require the Defense Production Act Committee to run a discussion-based simulation at least once every five years to identify what resources are needed and how best to use authorities under Title I and Title III. It would also make a technical correction to the Act's citation language so the law's short title uses corrected quotation styling, with that correction effective on the date of enactment.
