15% Pay Raise for TSA Agents

If enacted, TSA career employees would receive a 15% increase to their annual rate of basic pay. The 15% increase would also apply to each pay band under the Transportation Security Administration Core Compensation System. The increase would start on the first day of the "applicable pay period," meaning the first pay period beginning on or after enactment that occurs before the second pay period after enactment. "Career employee" would mean career agents or officers who are not senior executives, career appointees, or senior career employees as defined in 49 U.S.C. 114(n)(2). To compute the new rate, multiply current annual basic pay by 1.15.
