Temporary ban on U.S. fuel exports
If enacted, this bill would ban exports of crude oil, gasoline, and diesel starting on the date of enactment. The ban would stay until the President certifies both that military operations against Iran that began in March 2026 have ceased and that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open with global shipping resumed. The President would be allowed to waive the ban for proposed crude oil exports only if the President determines the crude cannot be efficiently refined in the United States.
