Limits on civics grant priorities
If enacted, the Department of Education would not be able to give priority for American History and Civics grants based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or immigration status. This would cover the entity's identity, who runs or works for it, who it serves, and the activities it proposes. If enacted, grant money would also not be used for "discriminatory equity ideology" or "gender ideology." Those terms would be defined by Executive Orders 14190 and 14168.
