Filipino veterans fund ends in 2027
If enacted, this bill would replace the current “until expended” rule for the Filipino Veterans Equity Compensation Fund with a fixed end date of January 1, 2027. After that date, the law would not allow payments from that fund to Filipino veterans or claimants. Any money left in the fund on January 1, 2027 would be deposited into the U.S. Treasury general fund. The change would take effect upon enactment.
