Intelligence Community Inspector General Parity Act of 2026

Sponsored By: Representative Crawford, Eric A. "Rick" [R-AR-1]

Introduced

Summary

Grants law enforcement authority to the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community. The bill would amend the National Security Act of 1947 to apply the law enforcement provisions of 5 U.S.C. 406(f) to the IC OIG by adding a new subsection to section 103H. It also makes a conforming change to 5 U.S.C. 406(f)(3) to insert the IC OIG before the Tennessee Valley Authority so the office is explicitly covered by those authorities.
