Victims' rights and survivor support. This resolution would designate April 19 through April 25, 2026 as National Crime Victims' Rights Week to honor victims, highlight the 2026 theme "CommUNITY", and recognize the work of over 12,000 organizations and more than 32,000 laws that protect victims, including 33 State constitutional amendments. It affirms commonly recognized victims' rights such as fairness, safety, timely notice, the chance to be heard, and access to services, and it urges Congress and the public to strengthen policies and programs that reflect survivors' voices.
