Congratulates the Martinsville Missile and the VA250 Car Project for setting a stock car land speed record. This bill would extend congratulations for a 253 mile per hour run on March 23, 2026 at the Shuttle Landing Facility in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The record car is a 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger with a 258 cubic inch, 1,000 horsepower engine capable of 9,500 revolutions per minute and designed by Joey Arrington of Franklin County, Virginia. Tommy Hurley of Ridgeway, Virginia drove the run. The text highlights Southside Virginia's stock car racing heritage and the Virginia American Revolution 250th Commission's VA250 Car Project.
