Sponsored By: Representative Salinas, Andrea [D-OR-6]
Introduced
Summary
National Moon Landing Day would designate July 20, 2026 as a day to honor the Apollo 11 Moon landing and to spotlight human space exploration. It would encourage Americans to celebrate astronauts across Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Artemis, honor fallen astronauts, recognize workers who design and build space technologies, teach others about the economic and social value of human spaceflight, inspire young people to pursue STEM careers, and celebrate U.S. leadership and the Artemis Moon-to-Mars program.
