Honors the lives and service of America's wildland firefighters and recognizes their sacrifice during the 2026 wildfire season. The resolution would name Emily Barker, Nick Hutcherson, and Sydney Watson, who died June 27, 2026 while responding to the Snyder Fire on the Utah-Colorado border, and pilot Nicholas Dale, who died July 12, 2026 while supporting the Gold Mountain Fire in Colorado. It notes two other firefighters were seriously injured, praises the Rifle Helitack crew's remote helicopter deployments, expresses sympathy and gratitude to families and responders, and invites Americans to honor their courage while supporting stewardship and continued aid for wildland firefighting teams.
