Would create a National Garifuna Immigrant Heritage Month in April to celebrate the contributions and culture of Americans of Garifuna immigrant heritage. It would ask people across the United States to observe the month with ceremonies, celebrations, and educational activities that highlight Garifuna history, language, dance and music, the community's 1797 arrival in Central America, ties to West and Central African and Indigenous ancestry, and ongoing land-right concerns affecting Garifuna communities.
