Condemning Iran's persecution of the Baha'i minority. This bill would demand Iran release people jailed for their religion and end state policies that deny Baha'is equal access to education, work, fair legal process, and religious practice.

- Baha'i community: Would spotlight the community's plight and call for the immediate release of prisoners held solely for their faith, an end to hate propaganda, and restoration of equal opportunities in education and earning a livelihood.
- U.S. diplomatic action: Would ask the President and the Secretary of State to lead international condemnation of Iran's human rights abuses and to press for the release of religious prisoners.
- Sanctions and accountability: Would urge use of available authorities to impose sanctions on Iranian officials and others directly responsible for serious human rights abuses against the Baha'i community.
