Mississippi gets park land for centers
If enacted, the Interior Secretary would be allowed to transfer two parcels inside Vicksburg National Military Park to the State of Mississippi without payment. One parcel is about 3.66 acres for a welcome center or other public use. The other is about 6.48 acres for an interpretive center, museum, or other public use. When a parcel is transferred, the park boundary would be changed to remove that land from the federal park.
