Summary

Blocks nationals of the People’s Republic of China from receiving F-1, J-1, or M-1 nonimmigrant visas for purposes of research or study. This bill would add a new subsection to Section 214 of the Immigration and Nationality Act that prohibits issuing those student and exchange visas to Chinese nationals when their purpose is conducting research or pursuing a course of study.
