Pauses new South Atlantic area and bottom closures for snapper-grouper species until the South Atlantic Great Red Snapper Count data is added to the next SEDAR stock assessment. The bill would prohibit NOAA from issuing an interim rule, final rule, or Secretarial Amendment that creates an area or bottom closure for species managed under the Snapper-Grouper Fishery Plan until the study is complete and its data are integrated into the first South Atlantic red snapper SEDAR assessment carried out after enactment.
