More truck apprenticeship approvals for veterans
If enacted, the VA Secretary would be able to act as a State approving agency for apprenticeship programs that operate in more than one state. Veterans could use those approvals to get GI Bill and other VA education benefits for multi-state trucker apprenticeships. This would create an exception to the usual rule that state agencies approve these programs. It could make it easier for veterans to access cross-state training in the interstate trucking industry.
