Full replacement for stolen SNAP benefits
If enacted, SNAP households whose Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) benefits were stolen would get replacement benefits equal to the dollar amount taken. This would replace the current text in 7 U.S.C. 2016a(b)(2) so households receive a dollar-for-dollar recovery for each theft. The change would take effect upon enactment and applies only when your EBT benefits were stolen.
