More restoration money for national parks

This bill would extend annual deposits to the Legacy Restoration Fund through 2033 and raise them to $2 billion each year. It would let Interior and Agriculture agencies credit cash donations into the Fund and assign them to specific projects. Agencies would solicit donations through awareness campaigns, donation points at sites, and during pass checkouts, including the America the Beautiful pass. Projects with donations equal to at least 15% of costs would be prioritized for Fund allocations. Annual project lists to Congress would include projects for the current and next fiscal year. If Congress hasn't passed full Interior appropriations by year end, a previously approved presidential allocation could be used. Agencies would dispose of constructed assets that no longer serve the public. They would also report to Congress within one year on maintenance actions and prevention plans.
